We have been experiencing some very frustrating technical difficulties and have been unable to update the website for a few months.  So sorry!  Many thanks to our wonderful tech guru Christopher Walker-Jones for getting us back up and running yesterday!

I couldn’t even begin to update each show and ribbon won since our last post.  We have had a wonderful Fall season of competing though!  We have more riders than ever testing the waters in Eventing and all of our riders finished on their dressage scores at every competition this Fall!  That is a HUGE accomplishment!!!  We are looking forward to a little break in December and then we will start competing again probably in February (unless we just can’t stand to wait that long).

We do have a few things coming up to let you know about.  This coming Saturday, December 6th, we are taking a big group to the Dover Saddlery store in Alpharetta, GA.  This will be a really fun trip and a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done and get ready for next season.  So if you need a XC vest, some new boots, or just want to go find a pretty new saddle pad, come with us Saturday!  We will meet at the barn at 8:30 Sat morning and head out asap.

On Friday Jan 2nd we will be having a one-day Christmas camp!  It is open to riders of all levels.  We will be spending the day riding as many horses as possible, and doing all kinds of fun things.  The goal for this day camp is to have as much barn fun as is possible in one day and go home completely exhausted.  🙂  It won’t necessarily follow the format of a day of Summer Camp.  Our most advanced riders and beginners alike will have a blast.  Cost is $50/rider and it will be from 9am-4pm.   If you plan on coming, let Stephanie know asap so that we can plan accordingly.

Our own Claire Robinson will be in Birmingham doing an Accounting internship January through March.  If you haven’t already spoken with Claire or Stephanie about if or how this may effect your lesson schedule, feel free to ask next time you come out.  Claire will be at Silver Lining teaching on the weekends teaching some of her older students.  We are hoping to keep all of our school-aged students’ schedules the same to help make parents’ lives easier.  Stephanie and Alice are available to pick up lessons in an effort to help keep your week running smoothly.  As always, if you have questions, we are always happy to help!
