After Hours: 2010 14.2 hh QH Pony mare.  Addie is a sweet heart!  She’s as safe, sane, and quiet as they come.  Lovely wtc and jumping courses up to 2’3 with a lead change (not finished change, but it’s there!).  She’s very brave and quiet everywhere she goes.  Has done a couple of hunter shows as well as a couple of dressage shows.  She is currently half leased to one of our young riders and used in our lesson program.  SOLD

Marley: 14.2hh 2007 Arabian gelding.  WTC under saddle and PRECIOUS.  This little guy is the sweetest.  He’s very level headed and easy going.  He has a trot TO DIE FOR!  He’ll make a wonderful little dressage or event horse.  Sound, barefoot, easy keeper.  SOLD

Scandalous Grace: Charis is a gorgeous 2009 OTTB mare, well started in dressage and over fences.  Solid over 2’9 courses with scope for days!  Lovely flat work, soft in the bridle.  Safe and sane, intermediate students love her.  Will finish to be a nice Jumper, Dressage horse or Eventer.  SOLD!!!

Diving Design: “Prada” is an absolutely stunning 16.2hh 2007 grey OTTB mare.   She is a real athlete.  Fabulous mover, her trot is like riding a cloud and she has the BEST canter I’ve ever ridden on a TB.  SO FUN!  She has endless scope, and doesn’t seem to have a stop in her at all.  She’s jumped to 4′ so far and cleared it easily.  With the right rider, this is going to be an upper level horse.  She’s the real deal!!!  Prada does need an advanced rider.  Her gaits are easy to ride but she tends to be tense and an advanced rider who can stay quiet and encourage her to stretch and relax will be able to ride her to her full potential.  This mare does have a rear.  She hasn’t done it in several months and riding her forward into the bridle and being able to let her stretch and relax solves the problem.  She was pushed too hard too fast at a previous home and we have really taken our time with her and she has become a very different horse.  When we got her she was fussy and popping up regularly (in April).  Now she is very supple in the bridle and she is like riding a dream!  She just needs someone who is willing to take their time and bring her along the right way without skipping any steps.  Whoever ends up with her will have a big time horse for a steal of a price.  This girl is SPECIAL and I love her to pieces!!! Sound, front shoes only.   SOLD!!!

Undercover: “Secret” is a 5 year old 13.1 hand Welsh cross mare. She is a fun, lovable pony! She would be suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate rider. She does ditches, banks, and water on cross country and is an absolute blast to ride! She is always in the ribbons at local hunter shows and won her division on her dressage score at her first Poplar 3 phase. She was foxhunted with Midland Foxhounds and did very well.  This pony loves to have a job and is a super easy keeper.  SOLD!

Picture Perfect: “Razz” is a 2001 16.2hh Oldenburg mare. Tons of show experience through Children’s. Easy ride, fancy mover, always pins at the top of the hack. Has brought home a Champion title at every horse show we have taken her to, all with students from cross rails through 2’6. Currently being used in our lesson program.  “Razz” is very well behaved.  Her big movement and balanced gaits make her an excellent move-up horse for a rider looking to get noticed in the show ring. Perfect manners in every way, not ‘mareish’ at all.  Will consider payments or possibly lease.    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImCSmZEt9Sw  SOLD!

Pippa: Pippa is a 15hh 10yo Connemara mare.  This little mare has it all!  Fancy mover, incredible scope, and a great personality.  Jumping clean rounds at shows at 2’9-3′ and easily jumping 3’6+ at home.  XC schools like a pro, ditches, banks, water included.  Would make an ideal partner for a pony clubber, or game young rider looking for a horse to take them up the ranks.  Great ground manners, bathes, clips, loads, ties, etc.  SOLD!

Oliver Twist: “Ollie” is an 8 year old, 14.1 Haflinger gelding. Adorable, fun, versatile pony with a puppy dog personality! He is currently competing at the Beginner Novice level and is schooling 2’11 at home and Novice XC. Ollie is currently schooling all the 1st level dressage movements and has started work on lead changes. Scores in the low to mid 30s in Dressage. He’s also a great size for everyone. He is big enough for the average sized adult and small enough to be safe for a child. This pony loves to jump & is very scopy! You just point and shoot with this guy. He has a wonderfully even pace around his courses. He won his first BN 3-phase schooling show at Poplar Place Farm. He has fox hunted with Midland Fox Hound’s 2nd flight and is very safe for anyone to ride on trails, alone or in a group. Ollie is barefoot and a very easy keeper! SOLD

Denver’s Grand Sparrow:  Finn is a 6yo connt/tb. He is a lovely small amateur/YR horse. He is handy and smart, and a lovely jumper.  He has extensive dressage training, and is proven as a jumper. Finn has a dynamic hind end, and has yet to hit a rail in competition. He is balanced and fluid, with an uphill build, and good bone. He consistently schools 3’6” at home.
Finn has a solid head on his shoulders. He would succeed in whatever discipline asked.  Finn is such a reliable horse that he has become a great part of the Silver Lining lesson program.  Everyone who rides him loves him!
Finn is out of Sparrow’s Leis, a mare by the renowned Grange Finn Sparrow. Grange is a producer of several Advanced eventers.

SOLD

Freddie:  Freddie is a 8yo 16.2hh Hanovarian gelding with lots of chrome and a sweet personality.  He is a very promising Eventing prospect who is just waiting for a new owner so that he can start his show career. Freddie has 3 lovely gaits and is a very nice mover.  He is bold, brave and polite to fences.  Has schooled XC at multiple venues in GA, NC, and VA.   He has earned top ribbons in multiple jumper shows as well.  Freddie is sound and healthy, easy keeper currently on pasture board with front shoes only.   Freddie’s owner is in college and is no longer riding.  He is offered for sale or possible lease to the right home.  SOLD

Lily Gray:  15hh 2002 QH cross mare.  Lily is the quintessential Foxhunter!!!  Fall ’11, Lily is starting her second full season of weekly hunting with Midland Foxhounds.  She’s loving it and is so happy to be back in the field!  She has first flight experience both at Midland Foxhounds in Midland, GA, and with the Edisto River Hounds in Aiken, SC.  This mare goes through anything with no objection and she does it all *on the buckle*.  No pull, great breaks.  Will leave the field to whip-in, doesn’t mind being left behind to fetch a thrown shoe for another rider, or will stay right with the field.  She is the easiest horse in the hunt field!  No spook, buck, rear, etc.  Does great with hounds, whips, guns, etc.  There’s nothing she won’t jump or go through.  Lily has been hunted by 10 year old little girls, 60 year old women, and everyone in between.  She has also done Hunter Paces in Georgia. References available from Midland members/staff upon request.  Very easy keeper!  No grain or hay if she has grass, barefoot, sound and healthy.  Great ground manners.  Cross ties, clips, loads, bathes, stands for vet/farrier.  Great on trails.  Lily is known around the barn as “Lily the Wonder-Pony”!   ***UPDATE!  LILY IS CHAMPION OF THE 2’9″ JUMPER DIVISION AT WILLS PARK IN ALPHARETTA, GA!!!!!  Lily had 3 beautiful, clean rounds at Wills Park for a 1st and two 2nd place finishes out of 10 horses to take the Division Champion title.  SOLD

Gotcha Covered:  “Savannah” is a gorgeous 16hh 13yo American Warmblood (Hanoverian x TB).  This is one FUN horse!  As a foal, she was a 1st Premium Foal (4th placed foal her year) with exceptional scoring in all areas including gaits, conformation and temperment.  She is incredibly easy on the flat, with the sweetest rocking horse canter and lovely trot.  When you pick up your reins, this horse puts her head down, finds your hand, and stays there while staying very light in the bridle.  For 4 years she was used as a member of the Clemson University Equestrian Team.  Savannah is incredibly honest to fences.  Whether show jumping or running cross country, I haven’t found a fence that she didn’t like.  She goes through water, jumps ditches, banks, and all solid obstacles alike.  On the cross country course I have found her to be a very polite ride not pulling to fences at all and jumping obediently, not leaving strides out.  No stops!  Because of her incredible abilities matched with her wonderful workmanlike attitude I have been able to use Savannah in lessons with my “intermediate” level students.  She has been wonderful for patiently teaching riders how to ride up to the next level in both their flatwork and their jumping exercises.  She is very kind and safe when they mess up and helps them learn properly by rewarding their correct efforts.   For such a wonderful horse, Savannah has had the misfortune of not finding a rider to really call her own and move along with, so her competition record is slim.  She has done very well in all of her shows and is always very easy to handle and ride on show grounds.  Savannah is currently competing at Beginner Novice, and will continue training and moving up while she is with us. SOLD!

Jack:  14.2hh 6yo Paint gelding.  Jack is by far the barn favorite.  At only 6yo he is one of the easiest and kindest horses I’ve had the pleasure of working with.  He is currently being used in our lesson program and teaches everyone from 5 year old beginners to more advanced adults jumping up to 2’6″-3′.  He has a lovely, correct trot and a very easy to ride/sit canter.  Jack is very honest to fences and his jump is very easy to ride.  His ground manners are perfect.  He stands in the cross ties, stands for vet/farrier, clips, loads, bathes, etc.  He even stood like a statue for our summer camp kids to finger paint all over him!  Jack is wearing shoes in the front only, and has very good feet.  No health/soundness issues at all.  His gorgeous eye-catching tri-color coat makes kids and judges alike fall in love with him instantly.  Will make a great horse for a beginner looking for a confidence-building first horse, or a rider who is ready for that mount that will take them into the show ring and do well.  This truly is a fantastic little horse, and while whoever is lucky enough to end up with him will be thrilled, I have no idea what I would do at the farm without him!!!  SOLD!

Greystone: “Grey” is a *stunning* 6yo 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding. Grey is incredibly quiet and kind with tons of scope and style over fences.  This horse is incredibly honest and never says “no”!  He has competed extensively in both local and A rated Hunter and Jumper classes and is as easy to ride and handle at a show as he is at home.  Grey has impeccable ground manners.  He clips, ties, loads, stands for vet/farrier, will tie to the trailer at a show all day.  This one truly is a pleasure to ride and be around.  He has 3 absolutely jaw-dropping gaits.  His trot is very floaty with lots of suspension… FANCY!!!  He has a very polite and lovely canter, and will walk on the buckle all day long.  He is always in the top 3 in the Hack, even at the A shows! He has a very round, correct jump that just feels like it has no limit.  At 6yo he has been competing up to 3′ but has the scope, talent, and mind to go *much* higher.  He has done some cross country schooling as well as a few dressage tests.  He has huge potential in the dressage ring, and jumped around the cross country (including water and ditches) without a worry.  As if that’s not enough, just to add a fun little brag-worthy fact, Grey’s sire is the 2001 Kentucky Derby winner, Monarchos. See a short video clip of Grey jumping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03nu7p2XPAQ.  Owner is in need of a quick sale due to a very sick new foal that will need abig financial committment to save.  Call or email to set up your chance to come out and sit on this incredible horse!  SOLD!

Flintstone: “Dino” is a 2005 16.3hh dark bay TB.  He came off the track with clean legs in the early Spring of 2010 and has been restarted as an eventer after having had a few months out to pasture to ‘just be a horse’.  Dino has 3 very well balanced gaits and fabulous movement.  He is a very easy ride on the flat… you would never know he is off the track!  He is incredibly level-headed and kind, always going straight to work.  Currently, Dino is jumping around 2’9″ courses and schooling up to 3′.  He has *plenty* of scope for more, but his owner is taking her time with him so that he maintains his good attitude and confidence.  Dino has schooled cross country at Big Bear and Poplar Place, jumping ditches, banks, water with no problem.  At his first show (BN) Dino was in the top 3 after dressage and ran double clear on XC and had just one green rail in SJ.  He also ran the USEA HT at Chattahoochee Hills in July (BN) and was a very good boy, with a nice dressage test, a very solid xc run (did have a circle before a fence which counted for 20.. darn!) and 1 rail in SJ.  This horse has the brain and body to go atleast Preliminary if not beyond.  He is in training and will be competing regularly until sold.  Price will go up with experience.  SOLD!

Duncan: 16.1hh 1992 Chestnut TB Gelding.  Absolutely fabulous lesson horse!  Has had an extensive career in the Hunter ring competing up to 3′.  Duncan has also done dressage shows and cross country schooling.  Basically, this horse will do whatever you ask him to!  He has taught so many kids at SLEC how to post the trot, how to canter, how to jump, etc.  He is very sweet and polite.  Perfect ground manners, clips, loads, bathes, stands for vet and farrier.  Also trail rides like a dream.  Would be a wonderful addition to any family or lesson program.  His current owners are sadly moving up and ready for something younger to take them to the next level.  Duncan is ready for an easier job where he can enjoy trail rides, basic flatwork, and a loving family.  This is a PRECIOUS horse and you will not be disappointed!  SOLD!

Mystic: 15hh 1997 Reg. Paint mare.  Tons of show miles as a child’s 2’6″ hunter and jumper.  Slow and easy WTC.  Has been used in lesson program for first time beginner riders through more advanced riders moving up in the jumping divisions.  Will canter around a hunter course in perfect form, and will also go in the Jumper ring and have a sharp, clean round every time.  This mare is probably the easiest horse to canter fences I’ve ever sat on!  She really is the perfect horse for a child looking for their first horse, or someone looking for a horse to take them to that next level.  Easy keeper, barefoot, very sound and healthy.  Great ground manners.  Easy for kids to handle in the barn. SOLD!

Rebel: Rebel is a 12 YO 15.3 chestnut QH gelding.  He has been used as a beginner lesson horse for the past two years and has taken beginners out on trail rides.  He is sweet and tolerant (although currently out of practice) and his owner is selling him due to graduating vet school this year and having way to many horses to take with her.  Rebel has a smooth trot and canter.  He would make a great trail horse, pleasure horse for the entire family, or husband horse for someone.  He is good with kids and adults and is not spooky.  He was purchased as the “boyfriend” horse.  He is current on vaccinations and coggins.  I am asking $1000 but would take less if he goes to the right home. SOLD!
